What is Triple Negative Breast Cancer?

Triple Negative Breast Cancer is an aggressive form of breast cancer which tends to affect young women.
It is called triple negative because the three receptors which can be targeted to fight breast cancer are estrogen receptors,
progesterone receptors, and human epidermal growth factor receptors 2. None of these are found in women with this type of breast cancer.

The Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation

The mission of The Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation is: to raise awareness of triple negative breast cancer
and to support scientists and researchers in their effort to determine the definitive causes of triple negative breast cancer,
so that effective detection, diagnosis, prevention and treatment can be pursued and achieved.

Much like the origins of Jess Day, this foundation was started in honor of
a close friend who was diagnosed with this disease.
